Toen Leo Vroman op 22 februari 2014 stierf, lagen op zijn werkkamer drie mappen met het opschrift ‘Die vleugels II’. In 2013 is Die vleugels verschenen , zijn gedichten tot de zomer van 2012, maar alles wat hij daarna schreef hoorde daar zijns inziens nog bij. Die gedichten verschijnen nu: het finale werk.
